8/23/25 Update to five stars: So the company reached out and told me that they are in fact still up and running and will continue to produce and support their products. They also sent me the .apk (installation files) of the evapolar app for my android phone. I've been using it and honestly its not a bad app at all. I can see where people say they have a hard time connecting but its not bc the product is faulty. The first spot would be making sure your phone and the evapolar are on the 2.4GHz band of your wifi. This is how all smart devices are. All of them. 5GHz dosent work bc of its limited range. Go into your phone's connection settings or your router settings and switched your phone to connect to the 2.4GHz band. After set up you can switch it right back to automatic or 5GHz all the time. Like I said this is the exact same step that everyone has to go through for all smart devices from any manufacturer. The second spot is on the cooler itself when initially connecting. Make sure CON is flashing to connect. The instructions are a bit vague on this but it wasn't an issue bc its the only option. I've been using this cooler everyday since I got it and I have to say it does a great job. I'm in Florida and it's really hot here right now (duh). Most people's a/c's have a hard time keeping up under blazing sun, 95F heat, and 80% humidity outside. On the worst days, the interior of my house can get up to 77-80F during the afternoon. The evapolar comes in clutch on these days. It sits on my desk and runs. It isn't meant to cool my room down but it does cool me down. The important factor is that my a/c is able to still clear the humidity out of my house so its in the 45-65% range all of the time. The cooler works on basic phase change physics. Even with 65% percent humidity in my house, I still get an 8-10F drop in temp according to the temps on top of the cooler. There is a thermometer for air going in and air going out. I've checked with a good industrial probe thermometer and the temp readings are legit w/in a degree, so very accurate. I absolutely recommend this this product. Evapolar has coolers that are designed different so they work different and are much more effective than any other brand or type. Get it. You won't be disappointed. Original Review: Ill give it four stars. It works and cools really well. I like that the water/ice reservoir detaches because this makes it super easy to fill or top off. It is quieter than I was expecting so a plus there. This will be especially useful if a power outage from a hurricane occurs since it can be powered off a battery bank or solar generator. I am concerned that the app currently does not exist anywhere to be downloaded. This makes me suspicious that the product will be unsupported soon. Hopefully I'll still be able to find replacement filters. If I knew this beforehand I most likely wouldn't have purchased this specific model.
Really impressed with this portable cooler's efficiency. It's compact but it packs a punch in cooling and humidifying the air around me. Plus, controlling it via app and Alexa is super convenient. Perfect for my workspace and easy to move around.
For me, this is the only of these products that really stands for its name, an air cooler, is the best of its class, for the people that think this is a air conditioner, this is not a product like that, it help you cool you down, and works better if you put the Evapolar behind a normal fan, but you can't replace your air conditioner with an air cooler, but have in mind that it really functions and is the best portable air cooler, just have a fully charge power bank and you can use it anywhere.
Got this late in summer or i could say it has nearly paid for itself. I put it next to me at bedtime when temps are in high 80-90s or more. Sleep great! Quiet. Only criticism is that the ON button works too well. I think if a butterfly lands on a twig in China, this turns on. I usually have to unplug it when I want it to stay off.
After many years of suffering night sweats and resulting poor sleep, this product has totally resolved my wife's problem. We have purchased 3 units as improved versions have been released. Despite the higher price, it is strongly recommended that you jump the latest and largest unit for the reasons list below. To address unrealistic expectations and potential disappointment, be aware that this unit is NOT designed to air condition an ENTIRE room. It blows a stream of water cooled air, (no ice cubes required), that is effective for about 4-5 feet. Think of it as a PERSONAL cooling device the sits on a desk or night table. The most expensive device is recommended above the other models for increased water capacity and design improvements. The design improvements yield the following benefits: 1. Electronic controls are user friendly and make the unit much, much easier to operate. 2. Accessing the filter for is more straightforward. 3) Refilling the water tank is more convenient due to larger opening. (Using a pitcher makes refills even more convenient but refer to the instruction manual regarding caution regarding spilled water damage, especially when moving unit. Highly, highly recommended.
I was browsing around for a personal air cooler and stumbled around this one. Saw the reviews are bad and there are a bit outdated. Decided why the heck not and bought it. It arrived at my house in working condition. Wifi setup was a bit confusing to set up but it managed to work. You will have to connect to the cooler's wifi its emitting out (ex: EvaSmart). It was not working at first but YOU HAVE TO DISABLE AUTO RECONNECT for the wifi you usually use, else this will not work. After setting it up completely, I filled it up with water that was around room temperature. The water you use should not be too hot or too cold. The sweet spot is about 77F water which takes the temp down 12 degrees. Color change option is available on it as shown in the images (All Hues Available). You can also remotely power on/off the device via the app. NOTE: This thing will not cool a small room. Mine is a 9x9x10 room and it does not move it down at all. It's a personal area cooler and you would have to be at LEAST 1 foot away from it to get the effect, hence why I have it on my desk in front of me. But I'm happy with the result. The back of the cooler uses a USB-C cable for it. It comes with one included! Thanks for reading! :D
Evapolar is cooling me in THE WORST conditions! I started this amazing cooler 3 hours ago in greenhouse conditions. My greenhouse heats my house and I thought....what an Impossible challenge! I threw open my house windows into the greenhouse and was hit by high temp from a greenhouse in bright hot sun all morning and HUMIDITY!! The humidity was so high that the windows were fogged with running water, the roof of the greenhouse was raining and covered by droplets of water and my glasses fogged immediately! I set up the Evapolar because I was Hot from Mowing and now the house temp (and high humidity) felt unbearable. Set up was fast and easy! I wanted to power it with a power source so I could take it camping....how long can it run?.....AMAZING Relief from the heat! I sat facing the fan only 2 ft or a little less away. I set it on 77% for fan because I wanted to have the minimum setting that felt good. And it FELT GOOD! I cooled faster than my battery for lawn mower recharged, in fact I had to back away a little. The drop in temp showed only 3.7 degree drop...BUT Wow that felt good and refreshed! I finished mowing the yard, closing the windows before I left. Surfaces in the house were dripping, doors, faucets, Felt hot and stuffy and humid when I came in again, but surprising the Evapolar had dropped temp 2 degrees and the difference between room temp and coming out of Evapolar had changed to a 4.2 degree change. Sat in front of the cooler really feeling overheated and Ahhhhhh cooled me down ! The sun came thru the windows but I left them closed the temp diffence went between 3.9 to 4.3 degree drop and that FELT GOOD! What a horrible test to do to a machine....worst conditions! I wanted to know right away if I was going to keep it! Even at a 3.4 change in temp when I first started FELT So GOOD! I was looking for something to take camping that would work in mid west hot humid summers that would bring my temp down quickly and WOW! Iowa is never this humid! I know in the past that the greenhouse goes way over 100 degrees on sunny days. So it was a unfair test but I am Delighted that it worked so well. It is 4 hours and water tank is about 1/4 full (so humid it can't use much water) that power pak is still going strong! My unit is built well of sturdy materials. I do wish temps were in F not C. I have no desire to use Aps etc....simple pleases me. I like the operation bec it is logical and did not require a lot of instruction time. I think that it is slowly cooling this whole room....but that is not what it is Good at. What it is GOOD At is Cooling Me in conditions only a 5000 BTU air conditioner could have and I would have had to sit directly in front of it to cool as much as this little Evapolar did!! If that is what you want....Personal Cooling....this is a Wonder! This machine is whisper quiet which I like too. My house is still hot and humid...I find I want to stay in front of the cooler....so if you want to wander around doing other things this is not for you...but if you want quick relief, or good sleeping it is an amazing little thing! Each person should have their own. Update...the Room IS cooler and the difference in temp from room to what is coming out the Evapolar is 4.5 to 5 degrees cooler and I have to move back now or feel too cool. I LOVE It! No discounts, gifts, or influences! I make my reviews independently.
Pretty nifty and good looking desktop "swamp cooler". Humidity in the room must be under 50% for it to truly work. Otherwise, it's really awesome. Temp at my desk got so cold, I had to up the temp from 68ºF to 71º !!! So yes, if you are in a dry environment or have a room that is humidity regulated, this unit is amazing. Oh, and this may sound like common sense, just DO NOT try to move this while the unit is in operation. Just set it where you want it to be and leave it be until you're ready to "dry" it (keep the unit running an hour or more after the water runs out) or you'll have to keep a towel nearby. Lastly, the Wifi/Wireless connectivity was a little tricky setting it up, just need a little patience. Once it was all connected, it was the best way to change or turn off the LED RGB light. If I needed to buy a second unit for my office upstairs, I would. But the HVAC there is wonderful.
The product is good and works very well. It takes sometime to start cooling, apprximately 10 mins or so and then the cooling effect starts showing. The temp going down shown in the app as well as on the divice is also very nice. The water tank lasts around 3-4 hours easily and various other features like light is really nice. The seller is very responsive and take care of issues if any.
I am so pleased with this tiny air conditioner fan as it was exactly what I needed. it is lightweight, easy to pack and travel with and it served its purpose.
